Sonam T. Lama, President
Sonam T. Lama is a Buddhist master, a Director of the Vajrayana Foundation (Pema Osel Ling) in Watsonville, CA. and President of Saraha Nyingma Buddhist Institute in Eugene, OR. During the 30+ years that he has lived in this country, Lama has founded or managed many spiritual institutions, including Buddhist retreat centers, residential and urban Dharma centers and children’s schools. He has also cared for his mother, Ai Momo, who is now 93 years old, in his home for almost 20 years. Lama is a direct student of HH Dudjom Rinpoche and HH Dungse Thinley Norbu Rinpoche, two of the pre-eminent teachers of the Nyingma School of Tibetan Buddhism. Lama Rinpoche lives with his family at Pema Osel Ling, in California.
Michael Maretich, Secretary
Michael Maretich, who serves as Secretary of The Buddhist Home, has over twenty years of business experience in both the for- and non-profit fields. Since 2007, he has been the primary caregiver responsible for his two elderly and often ailing parents. He is a lifelong student of Buddhism. Michael also serves as the Managing Director of Saraha Nyingma Buddhist Institute and Saraha Children’s School, and lives with his family in Eugene, OR.
